Some thoughts from me as regards your trip. Pagodas and temples can be overwhelming to many Singaporeans as they see one, they have seen all! Yet, in a European tour, the Singaporeans see various churches too but they have histories and stories.
Do some research first as to sight-seeing.
Basically Inle Lake will be good for trekking and boat ride to appreciate village life and photography. 3 days 2 nights will be better if you like the scenaries and the culture. Local market shopping in Pyin Oo Lwin (garrison town, Governor's House and "Botanic Gardens") will suit you. So, spend one night there after Mandalay. Not many days left and so I don't suggest a rushed tour.

I am thinking spending two days each in each town (not sure as i haven't really look at what is interesting in each town). We don't mind a 3 star hotels because we on budget.
