Nov 18, 2014

I am David Sing helping Judy. Thank you for your email.

1. Inle Lake, Indein Lake nearby trekking areas are recommended

Sight-seeing of the hills, places of worship and the unique leg-paddling fishermen. Trekking to see markets, farms and villagers. See to appreciate and their way of life, their schools, teachers and students. Explore the surroundings - climate changes affecting the water level. Golden sunset and serenity at the end of the day with the children.
3 days and 2 nights will be recommended. In my experience, 3 nights will be better as you will not be rushed.

2. Bagan visit to appreciate the culture, go cycling, temple "hunting" and knowing the history of the kingdoms,  2 nights recommended.
Mount Popa (spirits and gods of Myanmar) is excellent. 1 night recommended. Golden Rock (1 night) to appreciate the religion and beliefs.

Suggested things to do:

1. Inle Lake and Indein Lake by boat and go to trekking the hills of nearby Kalaw.  Kalaw trekking half day - farms, hills and villagers appreciating their way of life
Sight-seeing of the hills, farms, plantations, villages and places of worship by walking. Trekking will permit you to see the markets (depending on the day when there are markets opened), farms of rice, maize, beans and flowers, schools, rural housing and villagers. See to appreciate their village way of life, their schools, teachers and students going to school by boat.

See the unique leg-paddling fishermen of Inle Lake fishing and harvesting sea weeds. Explore the lake areas by boat. Local birds and climate changes affecting the water levels of Inle Lake may be a topic of interest to the children. See the floating farms and thatched houses on the Inle Lake. Enjoy the golden sunset, fresh air and feel the  serenity at the end of the day during the boat trip returning to the hotel. 3 days and 2 nights will be recommended as you will not be rushed.
